PlantID (plantid.online) is a free web app that helps you identify plants from photos and browse care guides. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process and why.

When you upload a photo for identification, the image is sent to our identification API so we can return a species suggestion, confidence score, and related care notes. We process uploads to provide the service; we do not sell your photos.

If you create an account or use signed-in history features, we store account identifiers and identification history you choose to keep so you can review past results across sessions. Guest sessions may keep limited local or server-side history according to the product features you use.

We use standard hosting, analytics, and email infrastructure (for example transactional email for account-related messages). These providers process data only to operate PlantID. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for session, preferences, and basic analytics.

Plant identification results and encyclopedia pages are informational. They are not veterinary, medical, or professional botanical advice. Always verify toxicity and safety with a qualified professional if pets, children, or allergies are involved.

We retain identification-related data only as long as needed to provide the service, improve reliability, or meet legal obligations. You can contact us to ask about access or deletion of account-linked data where applicable.

We may update this policy as PlantID evolves. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy. The operating domain for this service is plantid.online.
